Mac: subsonic desktop application + .flac

Videolan (VLC) plays flac and streams from subsonic. That's the fast solution.

Or install TwistedFLAC on your mac to make all players in the Mac flac-compatible (TF unpacks flac to wav in the background and then feeds the wav to the player), but it's a bit more farfetched solution.
