SOLVED: Search Issues

Postby CigDangle » Mon Sep 12, 2011 4:33 pm

I am new to Subsonic, and although I have most of it working great, I'm having an issue using search to locate files I can find by other methods. (Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere; I have been unable to find specific info on this).

Problem Description: I am having problems locating songs using search by title, artist, or album. It ONLY occurs on certain files, and I can find these files by browsing artists. I have about 67,000 songs.

Troubleshooting Steps: I had noticed some errors in the log when updating the search index, but I have since corrected those issues and am not seeing any errors. I have confirmed the tags on the files.

Playback Application and version: I'm seeing the issue using the web interface (4.5), SubAir (0.031), and Subsonic for Android (3.2)

Subsonic Version: 4.5 (build 2385) – August 11, 2011

Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_18, Windows 2003 (94.0 MB / 96.7 MB)

Hardware Platform: Windows 2003 Standard x64 Edition - Intel Core2Quad Q6600, 8GB PC2-6400 RAM

Java Memory Limit: 100MB (default)

Problem Filename: n/a

Output from ffmpeg -i:

Thanks for anyone who looked or was going to look at this post, but I think I solved my own problem. I simply changed my Java Memory Limit from 100MB (default) to 512MB.

In preliminary testing, it seems the items I was unable to search before are now searchable...
