Any thoughts?

Android Gallery does NOT show "folder.jpg" files.

Android Gallery DOES show "folder.jpeg" files.

On my server, my entire library is using "folder.jpg" for cover art but the Android client seems to want to rename them to "folder.jpeg"

Sindre, can you please fix this in an update?

I would like to support these requests :). Together with gapless playback and video streaming, these are my most wanted features :).

I saw it mentioned earlier here and elsewhere so I'm sure it's being worked on, but another vote for the ability to control a Jukebox player through the Android app.

My Subsonic server is also my HTPC in my living room, so this would kind of complete the whole experience for me.

Thanks for all you do, Sindre.

I wish the app wouldn't blast my audio out of the main speaker once my bluetooth headset battery dies or I turn it off without pausing first!! :)

Also, is it at all possible to have the ID3 tag sent to the bluetooth headset as it has a screen?

I emailed Sindre about this last year:

Sindre wrote:Both .jpeg and .jpg are standard extensions for JPEG images. To hide cover art from Gallery, turn on the Hide... option in settings.

But this hides EVERYTHING not just the album art :|

Have you tried unchecking it lately? Album art is now stored completely differently. It no longer stores an image in each folder, it has a folder dedicated to all of the artwork. For me at least, album art is now hidden even when the "hide" checkbox is not set.

I'm not sure if someone maybe mentioned that before, but I would love to have a sleep timer function.
For example before you go to bed you set a timer for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes the audio pauses and if you are still awake you only need to end the pause and it continues to play for another 20 minutes. This would be very useful if you are listening to audio books! Thanks ...

I've got a Android Maps Navigation + Subsonic request.

I currently use my Nexus S as my car GPS navigation (not Google Maps, but the Google Maps Navigation app that includes voice navigation). I also have my headphone jack plugged into my car for music and/or voice navigation.

The problem is that while I'm listening to music using Subsonic and the voice navigation kicks in for a turn... I hear nothing. I mean, the music stops, there is silence (about as long as the the sentence or two the voice nav needs), then the music starts up again.

My request is that is it possible to pause Subsonic, have the Voice Nav actually output voice, and then resume Subsonic? Would really help out my long drives, thanks!

Another feature request...

Would it be possible to remember the position in the Media Library screen? Right now I go through the library queuing up songs and out of habit (similar to other programs, Android Contacts list for instance) I press the media library button to go back to the folder list. Well switching to the list that way pops the scroll bar all the way to the top. I know the "back" key remembers the position, but that isn't really that intuitive, would be much better I think if the position was always remembered, would make it more consistent with the rest of the phone.

I too would like this.
I spend far too much time scrolling back down. :)

The EQ feature is nice and very welcome. Can we get a line of text telling us which preset we've used (a line of control sliders isn't very intuitive) and the ability to set up our own permanent preset? :)

I am quite happy with Subsonic and the Android app and use it daily, and I too was very happy with the addition of an EQ. Thank you, SIndre, for creating such great software.
My only feature request would be to have more than three saved connection 'slots' available for saving Subsonic server/login info and ideally support for as many saved connections as a user wants to add. As an example I have internal and external addresses where I access my Subsonic server as well as having a "Jukebox" user which is set to use the Jukebox player on my server/HTPC, and another user account that I have bitrate-limited in case of slow connections and so on. Having only three saved server connections means that I need to replace existing saved connection info with different login information as my use case varies. Thanks for your time.

How about having the ability to change the color of the text in notifications? I'm using a dark gray theme in MIUI and the title is black and therefore unreadable and the artist is dark gray and hard to read.

How about putting the version number in the about dialog?

Be nice and put in a 'Last Position' memory state. The number of times I've had to switch between podcasts or audio book and try to get back to where I left off. :)

I would like to see the Android app act as media server, not just client. Logitech's Revue might fit the bill quite well for such a role, now that it has dropped in price considerably, and will be getting Honeycomb soon. Any plans in this direction?
