Rating / Bookmark Songs on Android App (all apps)

One of the reasons I love subsonic is that I can make playlists on the go and have them everywhere. My playlists are getting played out, and you know the problem with playlists... if you don't sit down for a few hours to build em they kind of contain everything you have been listening to lately or your favorites, because you dont remember all the great stuff you heard once before. (on as side note, anyone built a playlist on the web app and accidentally hit the Play Button on a song while browsing and wiped out every song you just added to the playlist below? That is fustrating... it would be very sweet if you could hit the play button and it plays that song [so you can listen and decide if you want it in that playlist.... then continue on your merry way without loosing the hours of songs you just built... I know save as you go... but we are better than that!.] ... that aside)

I need to be able to shuffle my whole library and rate or bookmark individual songs as they play randomly. I see it working 3.5 ways:

1.) Dynamic Bookmark Playlist:
It could be as simple as adding a feature that created a dynamic playlist so that every time you bookmark a song that you like it adds it to the "bookmarked" playlist.

2.) Star Rating System (on mobile):
a.) Add Star Rating system and have a playlist auto build for each star rating so you always have a place to look at those songs that you have Rated.
b.) Smart playlist based on ratings (all on your phone), so you could say, build a playlist with all my "Rock" = "4 Star" + "5 Star." As well as having the dynamic paylists discussed in 2.a.

3.) Add to Playlist Button:
Add to Playlist Button. Click that and a pop-up of of all the playlists show and you select (with a Radio Button or check box) which playlist(s) you would like to add the song to.

BAM MY LIFE IS CHANGED... and subsonic takes yet another leap forward in front of Spotify, Grooveshark, Pandora... etc.

I think that this would be an amazing feature that would be well received across the community.

Good suggestion, but to mitigate the problem you mentioned at the beginning put yourself into Party Mode before you start building a playlist, and the "Play" button will not be there and you can't hit it by mistake...

Of the options I presented which one do you prefer?

I guess #3 and then #2. But I can see number 2b being a difficult one to implement because it requires some pretty heave changes on both the server and client side.

I'd REALLY love to have a rating system per song... or even just a thumbs up/down thing similar to Pandora.

I have a ton of full albums. I often enjoy listening to the full album, but often i really just want to listen to a few songs. It would be wonderful if i could rate songs in an album when i'm listening to the whole thing, and then later pull up all songs based on rating, genre, etc.

Rating albums is nice, but not terribly useful to me. I don't have many albums that i don't like.
