Chrome app: Perisonic (Android app update)

I created an HTML5 app (yes, I know, another one... ), and published it as a Chrome app. For now, it's a very basic player; it only plays your music in random order.

I want to add playlist and search functionality as well, but I also want to keep the player as simple and clean as possible... So it will take some time to figure out a way to add these extras.

What a great start. Clean simple and still very visual.
I like the faded covert art in the background.
90% of the time all i want is random music. So this is great.

As a side note.
I started using jRiver media center. It looks up images of the band from google and last.fm
And fades between the images while it's playing.
These types of things really making using a media software feel conferrable.

@Castius; Indeed, it would be nice to load extra/related images in the background. I will write that one down...

I have just updated the app to v1.1.2. I fixed some bugs regarding local storage, and sometimes the playback stopped completely.
Now the app remembers your current playing song (locally). So if you close the app/tab, and reopen it again, it should play the song you were listening to before.

You should get the update automatically if you have installed the app already.

Today another update of the app to v1.1.3.
- Fixed some more bugs.
- Artist/Title info is now in the window/tab title as well.
- Version info added at the 'About' tab in the settings window
- Additional parameters for the random functionality at the 'General' tab; you can enter 'from year', 'to year' and 'genre'.

Subsonic already has last.fm integration, please see Settings > Personal

Sindre, I think I will have to add the "scrobble" API call when playing each song, because currently the songs are not being registered.

Just turn it into a pandora for subsonic. I guess it would depend on how many songs a persons has on the server. Would be cool though.

@mollusk; I'm not sure how the Pandora software is like, as I can't use that outside the US... Can you be more specific on the features you have within the Pandora client?

Currently I'm testing a new version with Jukebox-mode support, it's still a bit buggy because it's not possible to check if a current song is playing on the server and at which point in time it is playing. So I will test & test & test...
Because the Perisonic app is in HTML5, it works on the iPad and Android phone too. So I'm thinking to put it online somewhere, and I will see if I can build an Air desktop version as well.

Hi.

I'm probably doing something really stupid here but I cannot get this app to connect to my player. I know my subsonic is working as I have it open on another page. I have copied and pasted the correct URL and have tried with different users with different permissions but it still gives me the same error. I even tried creating a brand new user and the same thing happens.

The error is: error while connecting to the server. Its not really very descriptive lol!

The only thing I can think of that could be that I'm running my server on a non-standard port, would that be the problem?

Thanks, but no such luck. I'm now getting cannot connect to server username or password is missing. I'm really not sure what's going on since I have tested the subsonic link and it works fine with the username and password provided, just not through this app. Very strange.
