I have subsonic configured to use an external player for music. I use Winamp mostly because it's clean and allows the display of lyrics.
However, if I fire up a video, Winamp will not start the video playback. If I switch to the internal player, all is good. Changing players back and forth between external and internal is a pain. I'd like an external player solution that works with music and video.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or examples of how they are doing this? Anyone using Winamp as an external player for video? BTW, if it helps, my browser is Firefox v7.0.1.

Have you set up winamp to display videos?
Can your version play flv files?
Winamp can accept and play streamed output from SS but you need the right codecs etc.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. Makes sense it would be a codec type issue.
