Wrong Password?

Postby Akusmo » Mon Oct 24, 2011 1:05 am

Hi everyone,

I've just downloaded subsonic and as soon as I clicked the "change admin pass", I enter the new password, then my email and when I'm redirected to the log in I have a wrong username or password error.

What can I do?

I've deleted the program, tried "admin" "admin" for username and pass but nothing...and I don't have any library or script folder nor /db

Thanks in advance.

Welcome
Have a read of http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5506
Knowing what you are trying to install on e.g. os would help.

Thanks!

So here it goes...

Problem Description: I try to log in on my "localhost:85/" and I use the username and password that I created seconds ago when I changed the admin pass and it says wrong username or password, and I have no "Forgot your password?" link to retrieved it.
Troubleshooting Steps: I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but I have the same problem, the log in link does not recognize my user nor pass
Playback Application and version: I'm using subsonic so I can stream my music to my iPhone
Subsonic Version: 4.5
Server Version: I can't access to the Subsonic Web interface, that's the whole problem, so I can't add music to my interface so I cant stream it to my iPhone
Hardware Platform: Windows 7
Java Memory Limit: I can see the "Memory Used" in my Subsonic Task Manager and it says 12MB
Problem Filename: Not applicable
Output from ffmpeg -i:Not applicable
Last ten log file lines: I have took this from the "Subsonic" folder in my C:Program Files (x86)/Subsonic/log/subsonic.service.log

You should have a C:\subsonic folder with a number of folders in there including db, jetty etc.
Stop Subsonic and delete the db directory then restart SS. This will create a new database file.
That should work, if not there is also a subsonic.log file - read that and see if that helps or post the last 10 lines here.

I just have one folder and is the Log one, and don't have any db or jetty folder.

Inside the log file I have the SS-agent.log or the SS-server.log

This are the last lines of the SS-service.log

That is the log from the program files folder which should be in x86.
The folder I am referring to is the one in root c:\subsonic. Have you that folder?

Nice! I've never say that, I just clicked into programs...sorry.

So I've just deleted db folder and when I clicked on the SS Task Icon "start" nothing happens...what if I uninstall the program and reinstall it and also delete the c:subsonic folder? I will be sth like starting from scratck.

Done...I did that...

Uninstall, delete c:subsonic folder and of course c:program files(x86)/subsonic (deleted because of the uninstall)

and now I'm changing my admin pass. Hope this time works fine...

So many thanks!!!
