Subsonic gone HORRIBLY AWRY!

Postby Rico » Fri Oct 28, 2011 1:43 am

I have a cable modem, and I didn't pay my cable bill so they shut me off.
Tonight, I paid the bill and the service started again. I could access my Subsonic server from my local network, but I couldn't access it remotely. I started to troubleshoot the problem. Checked the port. Rebooted the modem and wireless router. Restarted the Subsonic service. Rebooted the computer a few times. Nothing.

So I decided on a fresh install. That's when things went horribly awry. Now I can't even start Subsonic locally. I get this:

Directory: /
WEB-INF/ 0 bytes Oct 27, 2011 8:21:27 PM

Of course I use a static IP address on the machine I use as the server. When I look at my router, it reports my Internet IP Address, which is obviously something different than the IP address of the server. I understand that. But I wonder if maybe the Internet IP Address might have changed when my cable company restored my service? Could that be messing things up?

I'll be happy to provide more information if necessary.

Thanks!
Rico

I have no idea why, but the problem is fixed. I uninstalled and re-installed a second time and it just worked.

So I guess just forget about it.
