Subsonic Tray Icon SS4.6beta on Mac OS X [Solved]

Problem Description: i just downloaded the latest[quote][/quote] beta version. when i click on Subsonic, nothing happens - i no longer get the Subsonic tray icon. i have to open it thru "JavaApplicationStub". how do i get the Subsonic tray icon back? instead, i'm seeing the Terminal icon in my dock.

please, if anyone can share their troubleshooting tips on how to make my Subsonic tray icon appear. i had it before the upgrade.

When you do get SS running does it appear to OK e.g. working as before the upgrade?
Need to find out if its the just the start up icon or the complete install that is "broke"

yes it is running ok. even after the upgrade, i can still run it now except that i open it thru "java.." and no SS icon

If any users who have installed 4.6 beta on a Mac X OS could step in and at least confirm/deny that they may be problem it would be appreciated

does anyone have this issue? i still don't have the SS tray icon do you think reinstalling would make a difference?

One thing I did pick up from the SS change log was

New: Hide dock icon on Mac.

I wonder if its just hiding?

nope.. not hiding. i've tried it several times, even rebooted.

I don't know much about Macs, but this happened to me on a box running Win Server 2k3. I backed up all my files... uninstalled, had to clean out any keys in the registry... reinstalled... restored the backup, then all was fine. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it. I hope this offers some insite.

i tried a complete uninstall and reinstall. this time when i double click the SS app, it opens because i can access my server (without having to click the "javaapplicationstub" BUT still no SS tray icon. plus there's no way to Quit now cause i don't see any icon at all - not even the terminal.

issue resolved! i did a complete uninstall/reinstall and this time included all 'system profiles', then rebooted. now my little sub companion is back on my dock
