Editing Playlists and Screen On/Off on Android

Postby sgmorton » Mon Nov 14, 2011 8:08 pm

iPhone dropped, Galaxy II S picked up.

I am trying to use the Android client and I have figured out all but 2 items...

1. once I have a list of songs queued up how do I rearrange them? I have a list of 40 songs for my spin class but I want to change out the 1st 2 songs and one in the middle. Specifically how do a I take song number two and move it to the number one spot.

2. what does screen on and screen off mean in the menu?

1. Does not appear to be a way to reorder a "Now Playing" list in the android client.

2. Screen On means keep the screen on when downloading music. Some droid clients terminate network connections when the screen is turned off, so to force the screen to remain on while downloading music, use the "Keep Screen On" function.

Thanks for the quick answer... I was hoping to use the client for my spin music but without reordering the lists I think I'll be severely hampered.

I also need the screen to stay on the whole class... so that might also be problem if it sleeps when I do not want it to.

need to rethink this... thanks for the quick answer!

How long is the class? In the Display settings on your phone (outside of Subsonic) you can set the screen timeout all the way up to 30 minutes...

I would also play around with the playlist "long press" options... long press on a song in a playlist and "Play Now" or "Play Next" or something might move things around the way you want...

Good luck,

The class is 60 minutes but I will run the app for about 75 minutes. I typically queue up about 15-18 songs. I like to use the progress bar to monitor the time left in the song sometimes. We will ramp up for half and back down for half ... or sprint the last 30 secs regardless of song content.

Maybe I'll have to write my own ...
