What does the Subsonic log file say when this happens?

I got it working, I had the "unknown function preset" error for ffmpeg, but i thought latest would have that option...

A lot of playback problems of this kind can be caused by the cache especially chrome.

Thanks for the advice! Here is what I did:

Cleared everything per the shift-crtl-delete cache menu
Closed Chrome
Reopened, cleared everything again just to be sure
Opened Chrome
Logged into Subsonic
Tried playing A$AP ROCKY's "Palace" from Live Long A$AP, and after the buffering filled, the song stopped and the time on the player went to zero.

My Transcode settings are "lame -S -h --resample 44.1 -b %b --tt %t --ta %a --tl %l %s - -a" , so the stock settings with -a added for mono. I'll try pulling that out and repeating the above logic.

Pulled out the -a, started from "Cleared..." above, tried A$AP ROCKY's "Bass" from the same album, same problem.

Other artist's songs play fine. I was listening to other stuff prior to these two tests. I'll just skip that album for now.

I see what the problem is
The track is finishing As Soon As Possible
Sorry couldn't resist
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Just a wild guess, but is it possible that the "$" in "A$AP" does not get properly escaped and therefore creates an error when the lame command is executed?

I get it for a lot of my larger audio files. as soon it's done buffering, it skips to the next file. It's a lame issue for sure

Seems like there is some instability when playing downsampled music in the integrated Flash player.

This is most likely caused by the estimated (and slightly wrong) http content-length that is set by the server. I will therefore change it so that content-length is unspecified when the audio is downsampled (or transcoded) and the player is of type "Web player". I will still set content-length for other players, including REST-based players.

Thanks for reporting this bug!
