Newbie Question Sorry Android on Sony Tablet

Postby jzryk8 » Thu Nov 17, 2011 10:41 am

Sorry to the tech people out there.

I have installed Subsonic on my Windows 7 PC and can see the library etc... have set Port to 8011 and the http://localhost:8011 address works.

However I have a Sony Tablet S with Android 3.2 on it with the Android application. When I use the http://localhost:8011 address in the settings it doesnt work.

What should I be doing ?

Best Regards

Philip

Either http://ServerIP:port or http://your name.subsonic.org address.
Check on this site all the many questions and replies regarding port forwarding etc

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Do you know the IP address of the computer that you installed the Subsonic server application on?

If so, it would be http://that.ip.address:8011

Localhost is a special reserved hostname that means "this local computer."
