"no playlist available"

Postby revox » Tue Nov 22, 2011 12:06 am

I was originally getting this error: "The playlist folder "/Users/Shared/Playlists" does not exist. Please change the settings" when I attempted to add songs to a playlist. I created that Playlists folder, and now I get a "no playlist available" error.

Is there a secret to creating a playlist?

I'm using a OS X version 10.6.8.

thanks!

Hmm!
  1. Create folder for playlists
  2. Tell SS where it is
  3. Create a playlist
  4. Save a playlist with a name and format you want
  5. Then load playlist
  6. Play

Secret :? don't think so :D

Everything is set now, but I do not see where to create a playlist! I can create a random playlist, but not a specific playlist.

Is it staring me in the face??

yeah, it was staring me in the face! thanks for the help. Once I pointed it to the right location everything eventually came together.

Also, I just realized I can export my iTunes playlists to Subsonic. Wonderful! Now I can stream at work.

Ahh.. I've been looking for a list of playlists within the top half of the application. The only place on the web frontend to create, add, delete, and LOAD/PLAY a playlist is from the music player (for me the built in player.) Maybe it would be nice to have a place on the main web frame to "modify playlists" or Select Playlists.

hello,

i hope sombeody can give me a hint.

i have set the playlist path in subsonic to "/var/playlists", but i can´t find anywhere the option to create a playlist, i only get the error when trying to add some songs to playlist "no playlist available".

i checked the rights on the direcotry "/var/playlists" but they are ok, subsonic should be able to access it. is the button to create playlists on any place i don´t see?

thanks.

kind regards,
daniel
