Seems like a great service, question as far as cost

Postby JeremiahB » Tue Dec 06, 2011 7:32 am

So I recently got a WP7 and this seems like a great way to be able to access my music library when I'm not home. Got the service up and running and streamed music through my laptops browser no problem. Now I noticed that the app on the WP7 marketplace costs $3.99 and then there's a "donation" on the website required to access certain features. Will these be the only two costs? I don't mind paying both as long as I know the service will work. Look forward to any replies so I can get this ball rolling.

edit: I downloaded the trial app for my Windows 7 phone and I can't seem to load any of the songs form the demo server. I can see artist names & track titles but nothing seems to work to add them to a playlist or listen to them.

Is it possible that WP 7 trial app (3rd party) is limited in some way?
As far as SS is concerned you have a month to trial with all the features enabled.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

I assume the trial app is limited in some ways, but I would thinkthe developer would let you listen to music with it. Seems kinda pointless otherwise.

Has your subsonic server already been installed for 30 days? If so, your "demo" server time has run out and no remote client (except the native web interface) will work until you license Subsonic SERVER.

But yes, once you license the server and (if required) license the mobile app, that is all you have to pay.

Nah, I just downloaded everything last night and set everything up. Just see no way to connect to anything via the WP7 app.
