Problem with multiple music folders?

Here's my situation...

Subsonic 4.2 is running in a Ubuntu 10.10 Server (Proxmox VE 1.6 guest).

My music library resides on an unRAID v4.5.6 media server.

My library consists of FLAC and MP3 files that are stored on separate drives.

My music folders are setup as follows

My folder structure is as follows

When using the Subsonic web interface with 'All Folders' selected, I can browse to artist1 and all 5 albums and album art will be displayed. I can click on any single album (let say album4) and Play All, Play Random and Add All work as expected. However if I click on Up or 'artist1', only the albums and album art from /media/unRAID4/MP3(by artist)/ show up.

If I click on artist1 in the left column, the 5 albums will show up again. And when all 5 albums are showing, if I click on either Play All or Play Random, only tracks from albums on /media/unRAID7/FLAC(by artist)/ will be selected to play.

Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

That's a known situation.

You'll notice that, inside an album, if you press the next/previous album link, subsonic will only jump to the next/previous album of the same artist in that folder. It won't find the artist's albums that are located in another folder.

Is there any fix for this yet? I have recently been ripping a lot of old CDs to my server and am storing them in a separate location. Unfortunately, the albums I am adding are not showing up in the left menu if I already have albums by that artist in my existing library.

This has been an existing issue for over a year now. Is there any resolution in sight?

Anyone? This is actually causing a lot of problems for me. Is there any kind of workaround? I've tried some things to work around this, like using symlinks, but none of them really work very well.
