Well in all honesty I haven't plugged it in while in the car if I'm not using Subsonic, so I can't say, but the thing pretty much always gets hot when it's plugged in. That said, I don't want to be "that guy" that derails the thread, so yeah :)

Just installed on Android 4.0.3 for Nexus S. It's Beautiful! Just what I was looking for. I'll let you know if I find any issues.

Did I miss the Rc2 release? from what I gather the rc1 was based off of old code.

Also I know it's been talked about in other threads but a way to search by genre, especially on a phone would be helpful and safer while driving since it would speed up finding stuff in big collections.

Happy Holidays :)

Posting an updated build based off the current Android Market release (Version #46). Also going back to beta, releases will now go by date until a Release Candidate is ready. The player is really the only unfinished part of the new UI. I just wanted to get a newer build out before the holidays, also to see if it fixes the playlist and choppiness in ICS.

I don't have much time right now, but I see the bugs and features you guys posted and hopefully I can fix/add them after the holidays...

Thanks for the update, I appreciate it.

Have it up and running now. The phone still gets bogged down if I multitask heavily, but again, it might be because of the ROM I'm using. I do like that options found in the market are active again.

The app seems to run smooth, and it no longer seems to stutter when caching starts/stops. I should have a more comprehensive report once I played with it more.

Ran it this morning (12-23-11-1) and had no major issues. Two things - no EQ button in landscape mode, and when you go back to the list of selected songs that you're playing, there's no longer an options button so you can't clear the list or anything like that.

Ran great though!

Also, is there a way to incorporate it into the lock screen like Google Music does so you don't have to unlock to pause/skip tracks?

I have a problem playing any musics having folder name like Préludes. Is there an any fix for this?

I'd like to request that the player controls (play/pause/etc) are not dark-grey on black - impossible to read in the car. Can you publish your source on Github or something for collaboration?

I found the widget in this build is now 4x2 instead of 4x1 like it was with the market version. Is this the desired intent? I preferred the 4x1 size.

The widget issue is pretty well known.

One thing that I've noticed is that the extra menu button appears even on phones that already have the soft menu key, like the nexus s. Not a big thing, but feels redundant.

I have tried your most recent release candidate on my Galaxy Nexus with 4.0.2 and I am encountering the choppy music playback with the screen off (seems to hit mostly when listening to chiptunes). I can turn the screen on and the choppiness disappears. This occurs with an already fully downloaded file. A few searches suggest the Subsonic may not be setting a sufficient audio buffer size for ICS.

Hope this helps.

After about a week of use on my Nexus with 4.0.2, other than what I stated above, I get some random stutters but I can't quite pinpoint what is causing it, and they're few and far between, so It's not a huge deal other than I'm sure if you're like me, you'll want to figure it out and fix it lol. I usually get one almost every time I start a new album about 30 seconds in or so. Might be when that first song finishes downloading, not sure.

I also use it with the screen off, so not sure if what I'm experiencing is the same as crzysdrs or not, but it's not very frequent for me at least.

Looks pretty good man! I'd like to see Sindre port this into the official Android app. At least he can just steal your code, lol. Once you get all the bugs worked out I will give it a try on my Nexus.

It's amazing how much support has come from the developer community. Subsonic is such a great piece of software, just maybe a little rough around the edges design wise. This is one of the main reasons I created MiniSub http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=7553

I love your updated version of Subsonic on my Galaxy Nexus!

However, the menu button sometimes doesn't work; on my Transformer Prime with ICS (as of today ^_^) it won't work at all, which is a bigger issue. I can stream and navigate just fine on the demo server, but can't access the menu with both the onscreen button and the keyboard menu button. I'm happy to provide further information and test things.

Are your modifications getting integrated in the main trunk?

Is anyone having issues getting bluetooth play/pause working with Subsonic on their Nexus? Skip forward/back work for me, but not play/pause. It is really strange as both the native Google Music app and the Amazon MP3 app both work just fine with play/pause.

I was hoping installing this apk was going to help since it was compiled with the ICS/4.0 SDK, but it didn't fix the issue.
