Error What's playing not showing

Subsonic version 4.6 (build 2583) – December 6, 2011

and last couple of versions actually



Seems when I download a large file on my system that is running subsonic, after the download is over (possibly during also) when I log into subsonic to listen I get a error box popping up. Just says Error, no error number at all. Subsonic runs as normal with the exception of the small thumbnail showing what users are playing, that seems to be the error part....it won't show who is logged in and what is being played. Resetting my server which houses Subsonic fixes this and it will run normal again, forever...until I download something large again.

Not sure what is considered large enough to trigger this, small MS updates don't affect it

Yep I have seen this as well - no idea what causes it but I dont think its anything to do with downloads to server.
Sometimes the only way to get rid of it is to delete the jetty cache.

Is strange, I didn't have this happen in older versions, but I can't pinpoint which version it started on

I have also seen this, usually restarting my browser (Chrome) will fix it. But other times just simply restarting the server will fix the issue.

I just started to get this today. I have noticed that chat has stopped working correctly after I got this message the first time.

Yes, chat does stop working as well, rebooting the system with subsonic on it fixes it, just stopping and starting the subsonic service does not

Did the timing of the error/chat problem correspond to a Java update notification as well?

Did not notice if it did or not, I have SS running on a system in my basement that I remotely log into, so I don't always notice when things are updated.

any update on this? why it happens, when???? I haven't been downloading any large file for quite some time now and get this error every time I log onto my server remotely....I reboot the server that is running SS and the error goes away, but next time I log in,.....same error...no...not the same day logging in, I Have not narrowed it down that far, but I do use SS at minimum 5 days a week.

Try rebooting the server, but clearing your cookies and cache before logging back in.

This continues to happen so I thought I would Revisit this topic to see if any new info was here. I did shutdown SS and wipe my cookies/cache then reboot the entire system and the very next day still got this, so that doesn't seem to be the fix.....

Also my original post I thought I could tie it to a large download, but that is not the case, it just seems to happen. I go to SS via my address and immediately get the error box, close it and SS runs fine, streams all music, but it doesn't show what each user is playing above the chatbox.....rebooting the server fixes it but seems to just happen again....still don't see any error in log though.
