Downloading songs to other computers not as .ZIP

Postby ds4003 » Sun Jan 01, 2012 1:05 am

Hey,

Hope someone has figured this out or let me know if I have to put this as a feature request. Through the web I want to download a file to a remote client, when I click the download button (after it's enabled for the user) it archives the file in a .ZIP first, I'd like to be able to just download 1 file as an original (trying to download it to a phone).

Any suggestions would be welcome,

Thanks.

As this has nothing to do with tutorials I'm moving it to general.
You do not need to repost in feature requests because if you select a single track eg a mp3 it will download as an mp3.
It will only download as a zip if you select a whole album.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

I found it, there's about 4 different places to select to download a file. The only way to avoid downloading it as a .zip is to add it to a playlist, then select the file, then goto selected files -> download. The other 3 ways of selecting a file and downloading all put it in a zip regardless of how many files you have selected.

If you are in the deepest directory, and you click the little download icon next to the song of your choice, it downloads as a single file.
Just tried it to make sure :D
