Duplicate Song [Resolved]

Postby klunka » Sun Jan 01, 2012 10:18 pm

I may have clicked on the "add" or "+" button next to a song on a song list. Now I have a duplicate with a shorter play time!

Is there a way to delete such duplicate song. I have checked the drive and there is only one file (including hidden files).

:?
+ add song to playlist
X (in playlist) delete song from playlist.

SS will not add or delete songs from your hard drive.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

The duplicate is not just in the playlist - it is permanently in the list in the top pane which only has a + button and no X button.

By the top pane, do you mean the main (center) pane?

Yes - the middle pane with the album art etc displayed. Somehow I have a duplicate in the database and cannot delete it.

Try going to your search settings and clicking "update search index now."

It was a problem with the tags - not a problem with subsonic!

Thanks for your help and please accept my apologies for wasting people's time.

I just edited the tags attached to the files using a stand-alone tag editing program (Mp3tag via wine in linux). I had used an automated function to add the tags to my cd rip files but did not check them before attempting to play the music on subsonic.
