Video Files not found in search

Postby spqrbc753 » Sun Jan 08, 2012 11:03 pm

I have subsonic running on my NETGEAR ReadyNAS Ultra2 and I have not been able to get video streaming to work. In fact I can not even find my files.

I have added avi, mpg, 3gp and wmv files to the shared media folder and I can confirm I see music files and play them with no issue.

When I search in the browser logged in as admin I do not see the names of the movie media returned.

Example:
filename is navy.mpg

searching for "navy" says no file found.

I have restarted several times my media server and subsonic, no dice.

Any advice?

Are you sure that the path to the folder is correct? Try adding some music files to the video folder and testing if they play.

Are the video's in a different media folder than your music? Can you see the folder in the left frame drop down box?
Have you updated your search index since adding the vids?
Also check that the video file extensions are correctly listed in settings/general - video files.

I've added music to my videos folder and the videos to the music folder....music is fine, videos are still not showing up. Is there a way to force update the search index?

@BKKPewsey - I see the music artists listed only in the left frame.

To force a reindex of your library, go to Settings > Search and click update index now.

I doubt this has anything to do with it, but try changing MOVIES to lowercase. It is the only thing different from the music folder, so I would like to rule that out as quick as possible.

Have you not noticed that your music folder is /c/media and your video folder is c/media :?
