hello i have come across an ongoing problem...its to do with flashplayer and android phones..well my one at least, i have a samsung galaxy ace, and despite it having flashplayer 10.1 things dont seem to play..eg bbc iplayer as it insists on latest v11 which the android market tells me my device isnt compatible with, well done...
ok so subsonic converts all uploaded video into flash format to stream...well thats where it all falls down..as after going to the hassle of installing winscp and struggling with that for ages..i managed to upload a small video or two to see if subsonic would play that..ok well up comes a miniature version of the windows subsonic screen ..making it hard to read such tiny text ..it asks for flash player ,haha same old problem..so theres no way i can get my videos to play using subsonic..and what about audio? ok thats fun, providing you want subsonic to be no more than a glorified mp3 player..which you can find anywhere..wma? flac? aac? ogg? good luck .its supposed to convert to mp3 to play them..cant even get that to go right..maybe its because the files i have are in 96khz 24bit and some in 5.1 ..do you know i am still trying to find a player that will play video properly in all formats and the same with audio on an android phone and i cant find one..i must have gone through dozens by now...i had to uninstall most of them..same old problem, slow or out of synch badly, or the app hangs up or crashes or audio drops out..so tell me, is it actually impossible to have a multiformat audio / video player on an android device or phone? if the answer is no..then why go on with all these pointless promises that can never be acheived?
