Upload error

Postby Lt.Worf » Sun Jan 29, 2012 8:04 pm

Hello,
I always get an error when I try to upload a file: Permission denied.
My upload folder is on WinXP NTFS folder. I set folder permission to full access for everyone. I changed service account to administrator.
But nothing works.
Can you help me please?

P.S.
Upload tried from Subsonic admin account, uploads enabled

I can concur that it is working on 4.6 final to ntfs directories np.
Check that the file that you are trying to upload is not locked in some form eg. read only

The files I try to send are not locked. When I start upload the progress bar is shown an continues to 100% and then the error is shown.

Can you please tell me what security permissions your upload directory has?
Are you running the service with SYSTEM account?
Are you running Windows XP or 7?

Thanks.

P.S.
I just looked in my task-manager and there are TWO tasks "subsonioc-service.exe" running (and one "subsonic-agent.exe" = Task-Icon). Is this ok?

Try changing the Subsonic service logon to the system administrators account.

I already read this link and tried to run the service under my account (my account is administrator account) but this does not help.

I just tested mine and it worked fine even uploading the file to a location on a different server than the one hosting the SS site.

The upload feature is very limited anyway. i just set up Filezilla so that I can upload and manage libraries over ftp. using ftp it's easy to upload multiple folders at one time rather than just one file at a time that then has to be moved to a new folder where you actually want to store it.

It has some use for sending a file to someone else. If you like I can let you try sending one to one of my sites to see if it may be your server or something else.

Irgendwie versteh ich das nicht, das es angeblich nur bei mir nicht gehen soll.
