Exactly! That's kinda where I started. Now, how can remotely tell SS RC (remote control) have it use speaker pair 2 (wifi) rather than the local speakers...?

So, is there a way to configure subsonic to select an audio device (speakers) other than the default? That would elevate SS to the level of Sonos or better.

Good question. I'm not sure about the setup for wifi speakers as I have never used them, but I would guess that you would add an audio driver for them for the PC hosting Subsonic and select them as the audio output, the use the RC on the phone to redirect the audio to them.

I use a Bose Wave with SoundLink to send my Android SS output to the Radio over a Bluetooth connection. Once it connects you just select the BY connection for media output. It works great.

WiFi speaker ordered. We'll see how it works out. I'm hoping, worst case, is the Wifi speakers can be the default, and then everything local to the PC uses the non-default local speakers. We'll see how it goes.

Good choice with the Bose, I bet the sound is great.
