Is your upload directory within SS's media folders? e.g. can SS see the upload directory?

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Hello,

what do you mean with "within media folders"?
Do you mean that the upload folder must be a subfolder of the music folder? If you mean that: NO.
I have set one music folder to M:\Music and try to upload to folder M:\Uploads\Subsonic.

What do you mean with "can SS see the upload directory"? I think the Subsonic Service can access all folders on my drive?

I haven't tested every scenario, but BKKK might be onto something. Create a subdirectory named Incoming in you Music folder and give it a try. I think "Incoming" is a default shortcut when you install (again not sure of that) so that the folder is visible at the top of the left column when it's present.

ok, the upload only works if the upload-folder is a subpath of my music-folder.
