Transcoding Temp Data

Postby XaviorPenguin » Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:23 pm

I have looked and looked and I cannot find it.
Whenever an audio or video file is being transcoded, I believe there is a temp file that is created. I would like to know:

1. Am I able to tell Subsonic where that particular temp directory should be, meaning, changing the directory in which the temp transcoding data resides?
2. If a video file is partially transcoded, where is that partial transcode at so I can delete it and free up resources on my FreeNAS?

System:
FreeNAS 0.7.5.9898
Running from USB
Subsonic 4.6
Subsonic Install Location: /var/subsonic (NOT in /var/subsonic/standalone)
Transcode Directory: /var/subsonic/transcode

i havent fully verified this yet but it looks like if i modify the subsonic.sh to include
-Djava.io.tmpdir=${SUBSONIC_TEMP} \

at the bottom where it actually calls java to start

then at the top i added a variable
SUBSONIC_TEMP=\mnt\zfsPool\temp

iut looks to have created a subsonic folder in the temp folder, not sure if thats where the temp transcode go though

it appears only a chat cache and musicfoldercache reside there... still not sure where the transcoding goes...
