New router Belkin N300, now can't port forward [Resolved]

Postby sether52 » Wed Feb 22, 2012 3:37 pm

Everything was working smoothly until I needed to change routers. I have a Belkin N300 now. On my old belkin it worked fine to port forward to ports 80 and 4040. I don't know when subsonic changed but now it wants me to port forward to 8080. I went through portforward.com (which by the way still says to port forward to 80 and 4040) and did everything correctly. Changed the port to 8080 on the tray icon too. I can access my server from within my home LAN but can't from outside. My settings says "Port forwarding disabled" from within subsonic. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? Thanks!!

You did stop and restart subsonic after changing the port no?
Are you using the myname.subsonic.org address?
If so go to settings/network and hit save to update the address -it will give you status message.
Also you can check with http://canyouseeme.org to see if the port is really open.

When I hit save it says, looking for router, router found, then port forwarding disabled. I tried canyouseeme.org and was successful in seeing port 8080...
