Changing from .war version to windows installer version

Postby Buck0wens » Wed Jan 14, 2009 5:48 pm

Subsonic suddenly stopped working one day about a week ago. I check the tomcat control panel and it says subsonic has stopped and throws a very generic cant start the app error at me when I try to start it. I check the tomcat logs but I can't make any sense of them. So I'm having issues with tomcat and/or subsonic so I spend a week trying to get it working with no solution. I've tried re-installing different versions of the JRE, tomcat, and subsonic and I just can't get it to work. I decided to see if the stand-alone windows installer will work and it does. Doesn't matter to me how this runs so I was just going to switch over and use that version. The problem is I want to retain all the settings I had. I've tried both installing the windows installer version over the top of my existing .war install and copying my old install over a new install and either way makes subsonic not work. I was wondering if there's an easy way to transfer my settings from the .war version to the windows installer version without too much work.

THX,

Buck

All settings are stored in c:\subsonic, and are independent of whether you run WAR or standalone version.
