subsonic on a dockstar

Postby La_Tristesse » Sun Jan 16, 2011 11:49 pm

I recently installed Subsonic on a Seagate dockstar (Plug Computer) and tried to stream music to the iphone via iSub (iOS 4.2.1) but I'm getting strange behaviour. Some times there are XML parsing errors on iSub and some times the whole subsonic crashes. The streaming via the webgui is working and some albums are possible to stream over the iphone. Anybody who also have a setup like this and discovered something like this?

Regards Tristan

My setup is similar.

What OS are you running on the dockstar? What version of JAVA?

I'm running Debian Lenny.

My other difference is that I'm using an android phone for streaming over 3g and not iOS.

It works fine for me, except if I ask it to transcode. It can't seem to keep up, I'm going to look into that later.

Do you know what kind of CPU the hardware has? I wonder if that might be why your hardware can't keep up with the transcoding process...

Anything new here. I'm still trying to get this to work, but the low ram makes it impossible.
