WAP interface

Postby scoochie » Fri Nov 09, 2007 4:35 am

I am having no luck with this whatsoever. I tried from my mobile device as well as from IE on a PC to know avail. on the PC i get HTTP ERROR: 404. on my phone i get forbidden access errors.

I have looked through all of the provided help; played with all of the applicable settings as i see them; and i have searched this forum but cannot resolve the issue of connection to the WAP interface.

I reallly like the program and would sincererly appreciate some input on this.

thanks

What is the address you are using? It should be http://your_server/subsonic/wap

Can you connect to the standard interface on IE?

I am also having this problem. I can access my server fine from my phone via the regular interface but when pointing to http://<my domain name>/subsonic/wap I get:

HTTP ERROR: 404
NOT_FOUND
RequestURI=/subsonic/wap

Powered by Jetty://

This happens even when I try to connect to the WAP interface locally on the server.

I'm having this same issue, even when trying to access http://<SERVER>/subsonic/wap from Firefox and I've been unable to find any documentation on subsonic's wap. Any ideas? Thanks

This doesn't appear to work with iphone iOS5
When i navigate to http://mysite/wap i am able to successfully authenticate, but the page that loads is the .xml file that starts with this:
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE wml PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD WML 1.1//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/wml_1.1.xml">

This is what displays in the browser. Not able to test other devices.

Guys, the WAP is basically obsolete.I've never seen it work. Ever. The functionality it provides is minimal, and doesn't compare to the large amount of features found in the subsonic apps.
