Subsonic Subdomain on Windows Apache

Postby mrtoikka » Tue Mar 13, 2012 2:26 am

Hi All,

I'm running a windows server with apache. Also running subsonic.

I'm looking for a way to access subsonic with a subdomain... such that I can enter subsonic.mydomain.no-ip.org and use subsonic that way vs. mydomain.no-ip.org:4040.

Anyone done this?

THanks, Matti

yes i do that, set subsonic to use an alternate port, and have "subdomain.yourdomain.com" as a port 80 redirect to "yourdomain.com:port"

when redirecting though, doesn't it change the address in the address bar to yourdomain.com:port ??

I have no-ip.com Plus managed DNS hosting, so maybe it is only available in their paid service, but there should be an option called Mask URL that keeps the original address and not the redirect from showing in the address bar.
