Video Streaming Android Lag

Postby one_with_shadows » Thu Mar 15, 2012 12:50 am

I am trying to stream movies to my Droid X. I am currently using SS 4.5 I have installed the latest version of ffmpeg and jwplayer 5.9 as well to help solve the problem. I have tried version 4.6 too and rolled back to try to fix this problem as someone mentioned better luck with 4.5.

Video playing will work flawlessly for 10-20 minutes and then start to lag out. My PC has an i5 2500k at 4.5ghz. So I know my hardware is able to keep up with the transcoding. This happens on either 3g OR wifi. I have had this happen with 480p television shows, as well as larger hd movies.
I am computer literate, but completely new to transcoding. I honestly do not know much about it. I have not messed with any of my transcoding settings within subsonic. I have only replaced ffmpeg and jwplayer using directions found in the forums. I am not sure where to go from here. Any help would be appreciated. Perhaps I just missed a step while installing ffmpeg and jwplayer. If this works for others though, I am sure there is something I can do to fix it.

jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_29, Windows 7 (46.8 MB / 65.6 MB)
Java memory limit is 256mb
Windows 7 pro x64, 4.5ghz i5 2500k, 8gb memory.
