Is it possible to share a player?

Postby binaryviking » Fri Mar 30, 2012 7:10 pm

I was wondering if there was anyway to set up a shared player that would basically function like turntable.fm, where users who are logged in would be able to all listen to the same player and add songs to the playlist?

i thought forums are there to be helpful.... anyway, wasn't my question at all. i just think, even if it is for the ooomphs time - people are new to ss, not nerds like some and have questions.... be ******* helpful or just +++++ it.

my 2 cents, hope you have a question one day and get an answer like that (as much as i like it generally).
be nice!!!!

In that no one answered the OP's question in nearly 4 days, I thought I'd give it a shot with a bit of humor and in a way that shows some of the things you can do with SS if you're just a tad creative. Of course there was a bit of a hint that a search of the topic would likely reveal that the question has already been asked and answered, which in my limited experience on forums, seems to be pretty standard.

I feel a little bit like Bill O'Rielly when he reads the emails at the end of his show and you see two opposite reactions to the same topic.

I guess that's just part of the fun of living in a country where free speech hasn't been completely muzzled - yet.

Sorry I offended you.

you dont offend me in any way ;). plus, i just chimed in on the post.... i know, it sucks sometimes to answer the same stuff over and over.... but!, put urself in the situation - new to the software, not majorly computersavvy, trying to be a new user - i would be put off!!!!
i have several (completely diff. topic) forums running/ be mod on some. it just put ppl off, there is a nicer way to say "check the posts m8"
we all have questions sometimes (well some ppl not - they know it all). so it is nice to feel welcome in a forum, not get "buffed". i have some open thread right now, being semi-helpless (sofar nobody had a solving idea, but at least there was some "nice" response).
it's all about etiquette, we don't know each other means to be a**holes to each other for stuff like that!
forums are there to be helpful, when needed m8!

Sorry but I actually found it humorous and would have if it had been directed at me too....in fact, I did ask that same question in feature requests a while back, so I guess it was directed at me......Yep....still funny :)

Thanks baxtr. I originally made the video while testing special effects on my webcam and then used it a long time ago as a reply to a Subsonic video question shortly after video and sharing were first introduced. It was originally done as a demonstration of what was possible with Subsonic's built in capabilities. Until now, it has always recieved positive feedback, but, as always, you can't please all the people all the time.

Fortunately, I'm not up for reelection in November.

Heh, Didn't offend me with it. I work in tech support and believe me, I wish I was able to post replies to questions like that sometimes.

I did end up trying to use the search before posting this, but I guess I didn't word my search well enough to get the original post regarding this request.

I love the software, but I was just wondering about its capabilities.
