Music contained and updates

Hi,
i consider developing a streaming music app for android, I found this subsonic API fantastically useful!!! I've tried demo apps everything would be great, but I couldn't find any new music of current tops, is it just demo server with some old music just for testing? Would i get newest music on top charts if I donate? How often database is updated?

Is there any law issues on streaming music i should know before developing app (may be should be an other topic)?

This is music streaming server, not a top charts music down loader. You must own your own music.

well acording to API documentation it contains methods to download and stream music

all i need is to find tracks i want, but it seems database is doesn't have newest songs

You have a bit of a misconception. You can download or stream your own music from your own Subsonic server. This gives you access to your music library from any browser when you have internet access, including mobile devices with the Subsonic app installed.

It is not a free music service.
