I've got a bit of a problem with firefox remote, it only plays one track. I then have to refresh the page to play another song.
Firefox details: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:11.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/11.0
firefox local is fine though!

IE is fine, so is iPad browser, so it's definitely a problem with firefox.

Eitherway, excellent stuff!

What do you mean by "firefox remote" Are you just using regular Firefox? What's the remote part about?

Ah sorry I meant remote access to subsonic as opposed to local access.
When using firefox to access subsonic remotely I have this problem.

What Browser and Version?

I might have to switch back to Flash for everything but the Chrome App. HTML5 support is very spotty.

Using the app in Google Chrome 19.0.1084.15 beta-m

When I say no audio the file doesn't appear to attempt playing as seen by the time not moving.

So I was able to get it playing music, takes about 30 seconds for a song to start playing. Not sure as to why? Same thing happens between every track, nice 30-60 second wait. Maybe it is trying to buffer the entire track?

First I want to say the app interface is slick, nice work. Really well done. There issues I found so far:

1) Search doesn't function the same way it does in the actual Subsonic player, any way to remedy this off the API?
2) Tracks that are 1Hr plus show up as mm:ss instead of h:mm:ss.
3) A-Z 0-9 alignment over laps at the bottom

Once my server gets a restart I am going to setup the code for other browsers and not the app, see how that goes and go from there. Love the effort you put in though, keep it up!

For what it's worth, Firefox 11 has worked consistently well for me with Minisub. I hope that one day I can use the Chrome app, but for now Firefox is just fine.

Hi,

I use your application from a time I thought of some improvements that would make it even more enjoyable:
- When viewing a music (or album) when you click on the name of the album (or artist) display it. For example if I look "we will rock you" by Queen I want to see by clicking on any Queen discography of the artist (or if I click on the album view entire album)
- When playing a single music it would be useful as it is added to the Now Playing list
- When running the music in a playlist (or album) that it would be interesting to the reader adds the following songs to the playlist (for example I play the 3rd music from a playlist, it would have : 4,5,6 ... adds to the current playlist as well)
- Another thing that can be useful to increase the ease of use: when loading a playlist (or any other ajax request) there should be an icon indicating that it is in progress.
- The ability to download a single music or playlist

Apart from these few minor little details I always find your great work and really useful and I hope you will continue

I made a fork of the project Minisub (it is only to test one of tsquillario can decide whether to integrate them in minisub).
improvement:
- Changing track position
- Sortable current playlist
- Download a music or a playlist
- In the playlists, click on the album can see it
- At the request of playing music it gets into the Queue
- At the request of music from a playlist, music following additional automatic
- Icon loading in the requests to the server

You can find it here : https://github.com/zoic21/MiniSub/zipball/master

Nice work, tsquillario!

Do you have a road map of planned updates? Any chance you could implement this way of browsing albums?

http://dilerium.se/musiccabinet/demo/

(when you click an album, it's not displayed on a separate page, but rather maximizes on the artist page. click an album to see)

Thanks for putting your spare time into this project!

Also, I'd prefer to have albums presented chronologically. I'd be happy to help out doing back-end programming (new REST methods) if you decide to go for it.

Otherwise I'll just fork anyway, but it would be nice to stay as close as possible to your code, to be able to use whatever you create in the future.

Fork away! I picked up some side-work doing ASP.NET MVC development so this project hasn't seen much action from me lately. There are a bunch of updates out there from other folks I will integrate when I get time. I have not forgotten about it! Still use it all-day every-day at the day job so it's most def fresh in mind.

If I like what you've developed I'll gladly port it back to the main version.

Thanks for your quick reply! I've done so many changes to the Subsonic server so my forthcoming changes to the MiniSub player might be hard to incorporate for anybody else, sadly.

I'll most probably learn some useful techniques from the code base you've created! Time to turn myself into a UI developer.

Cool player, just found it. Thanks for all your work!

A couple probably silly questions. Is there a way to go up a level easily? I have my music organized into a few large groupings by genre and such, and as a result show only about a dozen folders in the left pane (where you normally see all of the artists). So when I am in my "Artists" folder, I see the entire list of artists in the right pane. When I dig down a couple levels into an individual artist folder, then into an album, there is no way to return to the individual artist folder, I have to start from square one back in the left pane. Am I missing something simple, or is it just my wacky setup that results in this loss of functionality (in other words, are you folks using the left pane to go back a level)?

Also, is there an easier way to launch the app other than navigating to the install page?

Thanks again!
