I've been using subsonic for about 5 months now. I have an oldish smartphone running Gingerbread 2.3.6 and an Acer Iconia A500 Tablet rinning ICS 4.0.3. Subsonic worked a treat for many months, while I added more music to the collection periodically. Recently on both, when I tried to connect to my server I continually got " A Network Error Has Occurred" when trying to connect even though after inputting my admin name and password the connection tested ok. it retrys 4 times and then gives up. I was perplexed about this for some time. Recently I've discovered that if I do not just try to display all folders by going to the listing screen that I can search for band names, and the full listing of albums for that folder comes up no problem I can choose any album and it plays.
Like I said weird. I installed the player on a roku and had the exact same problem. 
it would lock up if I tried to list all folders, but I could search and play individual groups after searching for them. Any Ideas why I cannot display the full collection and choose folders from the list.
