track lenght doubled

Postby oyvind » Fri Jan 30, 2009 7:33 am

I use to chop audiobooks in smaller 2-3minute tracks. When I use the "External player with playlist" or "Web player" the track lenght changeing to double size when played. eg. a 02:23 track become 04:46 when played.

This causes my player "PocketPlayer" to stop after each track when using "External player with playlist".

The "Web player" also double the track time but skip to next track when coming to the true end of the track.

I am unshure if this is a Subsonic problem or one caused by the "Audiobook Cutter FE" i use.

Anybody else seen this problem?

Are you transcoding? :?:
if you go from 256 down to 128 it seems to trick the web player into thinking the track is twice as long.

You're right. I listen to audiobooks chopped into 3minute pieces and transcode them down til 32Kbps. When using "pocket player" it read the m3u file-list and the track-length is right until the player loads them, then it changes the lenght. When coming to the track-end the player stops. GSplayer have not the same problem.

If I transcode from 64Kbps to 32Kbps the time doubles, if the transcoding is less the time increases less.

It is the same for the WEB player.
