Problem when streaming WMA lossless

Postby abelour » Mon Sep 18, 2006 11:14 am

Hi!

First of all, this i a great program! I've used it for almost a year, and I now have access to all my music anywhere :)

I have just ripped my CD's to wma lossless and now I have a problem streaming my files in this format. I have to press play (again) in Windows media player after the end of every song in my playlist. The stream stops after playing one song, and has to be started again...?!?

Streaming of my mp3 files is ok. I use version 2.8 (build 329). WMP version 11.

Any tips regarding this?

Yeah, I've seen something similar on my system. The easiest fix is to install the transcoding pack, and convert to MP3 on-the-fly. Please see http://subsonic.sourceforge.net/transcode.html

Hope this helps,

That solved my problem, tnx !

If there is a solution to the Max bitrate per player vs. Max bitrate per user issue in my other post today, I will be able to stream and transcode to avoid this problem with my other users also.
