[HELP] How start and stop Subsonic on Suse Linux Server.

A friend of mine gave me Subsonic installed on a Suse Linux server. I want to upgrade now subsonic. But think not to start the Subsonic server and stop the command line. And my friend is not available for a long time. Normally I start and stop using my software ./Thesoftwarename.sh start stop.
Since subsonic but requires Java, it can not be stopped. Among the other .sh file from the server is not found even though I find myself folders from Subsonic. And although I am logged in as root. I am a Linux beginner. Can someone tell me there is like that?
