problem to connect

Postby HILFER » Sun Apr 29, 2012 12:09 pm

Hi all:

After a period working fine i'm getting now the following message on my mobile :

Access denied to file .....

On my subsonic web page I get the following error :Status: XXXXX.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

What can be the problem ???

Check your port is still forwarded correctly (http://canyouseeme.org)

After a reinstal is working again.

Just another question:

When I move to another wifi it doesn't connect.

Why ?? it is supposed to work only on my own wifi ??

If it works only on your WiFi, the most likely problem is that your router's port forwarding is not setup correctly. See http://portforward.com/

yes I think that's the problem.

My router is not set to forward ports and I really don't know how to do it.

I have to ask someone else to do that for me.(I'm not techy enough)

tks anyway

Have to take a look later.

In the meantime let me tell you this:

I have subsonic on my Ipad too and it works perfectly outside my wifi !!!

So I assume that this is not a problem with ports forwarding !!! what do you think ??

If you can't see the port responding properly from canyouseeme.org then it is NOT possible to access Subsonic from outside your network. Verify that you are using the same port number on Subsonic that you are checking at canyouseeme.org. Also check that the internal ip assignment of the host pc where Subsonic is installed is the ip address that the router is forwarding the port to.

Now I got a positive result:

Success: I can see your service on 213.22.243.101 on port (8090)
Your ISP is not blocking port 8090

So subsonic on my android phone should be working now.

will check and will be back with result.
