Just a heads up, the DropBox folder for the latest build is empty.

Oh and would it be possible to add the build number to the bottom of each page?

Probably the "More" page would be best.

Just a question, I noticed that the thumbnails on the homepage don't work under IE8. I know it's an old version of IE8 but I have no way of updating it. Is there any known workaround for it?

for own Domain Sharing use the correct Version

Own Sharing:

correct example: http://157.177.126.17:8080 or http://mysubsonicserver.com
false example: http://localhost or http://192.168.0.1

Default Sharing:

using the default Subsonic Subdomain USERNAME.subsonic.org --> http://www.subsonic.org/pages/getting-started.jsp

you used the wrong method with the wrong technique!

If you want to use your subsonic registration license and subdomain registration you MUST use the Default Sharing Version!
In the Own Domain Sharing Version the function to use the xxx.subsonic.org domain forwarding is disabled!

so use the correct Version for you need!

Default Subsonic Sharing --> http://ul.to/file/gn1d5vzg/20120509_sub ... -setup.zip
Own Domain Sharing --> http://ul.to/file/49cg942b/20120509_sub ... -setup.zip

its my fault, i used for both version the same Build Number, so you must manually delete your jetty cache if you only replace the subsonic.war file

if you want to change between the versions you better uninstall the whole installation or ...

1. Stop Server
2. clear your Internet browsers cache AND cookies
3. clear (delete) subsonics internal cache (the jetty cache is at subsonic/jetty/<num>/jsp/org/apache/jsp/*)
4. replace this 2 files in you subsonic folder
*) subsonic.war
*) subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar
5. restart server
6. restart browser

i hope this helps ...

After replacing the WAR and other files, restarted my server and it is working great. The only thing that I can complain about, is that my stats are not showing up on the top left (album, artists, songs, size, etc). Now is this related to indexing, and does SS have to rescan before those stats appear again? I have a scan in progress, but having over a TB of data, I assume it will take a little while...but while it's in progress, still no stats. Thoughts?

EDIT: Yeah, that was the issue. I was just not patient enough. This mod is awesome! (will leave my comment in case any others have the same issue)

A really nice collection of modifications - thanks for the hard work. I have a couple of comments (mostly personal preferences).

It seems like you've increased the width of the left hand folder list frame? I personally prefer the original width. Also the "search" box seems to be positioned a little awkwardly - should it be indented? Am I the only one who thinks that you should only show similar artists that are in your collection? Or of the 3 artists shown prefer showing ones in your collection? Can you add the captions subtitle plugin to JWPlayer (viewtopic.php?t=5300)? Saves me having to edit the war file each time. I like the ability to change rows/columns but it would be great if it saved the user preference next time you logged in. Is the "social" page really all that useful? It just replicates info already visible in the right hand side. The random filelist generator graphic doesn't really fit very well with the rest of Subsonic's style. Can it change with theme? The same for the pop out upload window? I think I prefer the "Log out <user>" as text rather than a power button icon - it's clearer. I'd also prefer to see it placed top right as this is the usual place for log out buttons on most websites.

Other than that it's a great collection of mods and saves me a lot of hackery!

EDIT: Not working for me.
I downloaded the setup, and it installed. Configured to use HTTP, set my memory to 512 like always...restarted the service and getting a 404 when trying to browse to.

To clarify, this was a clean install after uninstall my stock 4.7b1 install, and deleting the subsonic folder on the root of my C:. After this failed, I uninstalled build 2992, reinstalled the stock 4.7b1, and installed 2992 overtop...and it's working again.

i merged this changes with my build 2992.

maybe wrong port default ist now 4040?
do you found error in the subsonic.log file?
do you clean the whole subsonic folder before installation (incl. db & jetty folder and also the subsonic.properties)?
