New artists/albums won't show in left-hand menu

Subsonic has been working great for me for many months now.
I'm running the new patch on Win2003, and all the music files are on a mounted volume.

My issue is this: The left-hand menu won't update itself when I add new albums or artists. Not when I refresh the page, and not when I clear my cache. Funny thing though, it finds the album if I search for it, but I really don't want to go and have to remember what artists I have or not there.

What could be the issue?

I am having the exact same issue (yes I know this thread is 4 years old). This is occurring on a fresh installation running on Windows 7 x64.
Any suggestions?

I believe it is an issue with folder permissions - I am copying the folders from another computer, and for some reason or another, I don't believe the Subsonic server computer has read access to those folders.

Solved by running the Subsonic service with "Administrator" privileges and then removing/re-adding my media folders.
