Subsonic TV Video Transcoding

Postby jeff1805 » Sun May 13, 2012 2:52 pm

Looking for a little help streaming my videos to SubsonicTV via Roku. It seems, as far as I can gather, that I need to list the video types (avi, mp4, mpeg-4, etc) under the listed player with the needed transcode.

My questions are:

Am I correct on my assumption on how to play my videos?

And how exactly do I write the transcoding?

No idea as I do not know what format is required but please read this viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7976

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

I'm not familiar with Roku TV, but I record TV all the time with WMC and store the wtv files on my server and then play them through Subsonic on any platform with an internet browser. Without knowing more about your setup, there's not much else I can tell you.
