Album Search not work

I used zazeen.com server ... war instalation. Search only search a songs. Not search album. Any one can check my server? where is error?

I updated search index. i deleted lucene files and updated again.. i try all its not work

Ok found a couple of problems

1. The search index was set to update - never
2. The folder structure will give SS problems
   You need to have the folders set up as Artist\Album\tracks
   At the present you have (I think) set up as alphabet letter\artist or album\tracks
   (Not sure whether they are artists or albums names as I am not very familiar with Indian music )

So for example the correct way would be B\The Beatles\Rubber Soul\tracks.
You may also want to change your media folders to point 1 directory down
eg instead of pointing at ..\Music - point at ..\Music\A , ..\Music\B and so on...
This will then display the artists in the left sidebar rather then a generic A, B,C, etc.

Lost time i used gigapros.com server with same music and structure search working fine.. but that was jetty server...
now i am using zazeen.com it is tomcat server...

i added folder structure is A/album/tracks

"A" consider as a Artist. all my tags album name is right one. But when i search with Album name No result.

If possible check again

I did and found no change
However I did check how you have tagged your files and downloaded 1 file randomly selected.

Hum_Tum_Pe_Marte_Hain_(1999)-Duniya_Se_Kuchh_Lo.mp3

Title tag - not set
Artist tag - contains genre
Album tag - not set
Year tag - not set
track no# - not set
Album Artist - not set (not used by SS at the moment)

and from what I can see you still do not have the folders set-up as I said previously
so overall I am surprised (and impressed) that SS can find anything
I would suggest you get something like Mp3tag and get busy!!!

Ok i created new folder and i changed order as per u told..now folder structure is

A/hindi Movie/Album/Tracks.

now check "agent vinod" it search only songs not album..

I have 100+ album in my album folder..

Maybe it would be a good idea to add folder A as a "Media folder" inside Subsonic, and folder B as well, and folder C, and folder D ... ?

I have another error when i update tags...

Failed to update tags for file------- java.io.IOException: Cannot make changes to file

i thik it is related with search error...

I need chmod any folder?

It would appear that SS does not have write access to that folder/files.
I also tried to update the tags on another folder "Aadmi" - same result.

I would not use subsonic to tag your files though as ,although its ok for quick edits, you need the power of a dedicated tagging program when dealing with a complete library.
(Like using a feather to drive in a nail - can be done with lots of patience - but a hammer is better )

Ok.. Finally i cant understand... how can i fix my error? this is subsonic bugs???? No solution?

Still search not search album name.. its only happened in zazeen.com server... i also tested some other server with same songs and folder structure...

zazeen.com used tomcat war installation... any zazeen.com user having this issue?

It is not a subsonic "bug" - you need to give SS read/write permissions eg chmod 766
