Have you tried (re)installing a 32-bit JDK from that site? I believe the most recent version subsonic works with is java 6 update 32. Go to the java.com website and download that. I'm not sure but I think the 64-bit version includes a 32-bit version as well. It just seems to me like you either haven't updated your java in ages, haven't had java on that machine somehow, or have a corrupted install of java. Re-downloading the correct version on the pc that runs the subsonic server should solve the problem.

Surest cure is to just uninstall all current Java entries through "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features" then go to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and install the Windows Offline (32-bit) and the Windows Offline (64-bit).

If you get any Java errors after doing that, it's most likely an error in the application.
