Videoplayer Aspect Ratio Mod

Postby nRo » Mon Oct 17, 2011 3:29 pm

Hey guys,

I'm working on a small mod that allows to change the aspect ratio of the jwplayer, the player will keep the selected ratio when you enter fullscreen.

Update:
You can now switch between manual selection and autodetection whenever you want.
The flashplayer will be reloaded but it will keep the actual position.
Manual autoratio selection is disabled by default and autodetection is used.

Update2:
small bugfix: fixed icon toggle

Download:
Videoplayer AR MOD V2.rar

Installation:
copy the aspectratio folder to webapp/script and the videoplayer.jsp to /webapp/WEB-INF/jsp/
The changes in videoplayer.jsp are commented if you don't want to overwrite the whole file.
Just tell me if anything doesnt work.

I'd appreciate that. Ideally, auto detecting the aspect ratio would be the way to go, but I have no problem having a drop down. Thanks!

Hi,

I will probably start working on this again if there is interest.

yes, it works on 4.6. You can just overwrite the videoplayer.asp if you don't have any other mods that use this file.

I just wish this mod was added to the Android client. :(

All my videos I display on my Android App just don't appear to use the screen to its best advantage on my HTC Desire HD.
