Not all albums show up on left side

I'm having the same problem, except that I can only see ONE song title in the left pane.

My setup is on Linux, Fedora 16 (was running 15, with same issue, if that matters). The actual music resides on a network share, which is a Windows machine, and I have SMB/Cifs configured to mount the music folder into /media/music - and this works with no problems.
The one file that does show up on the left is in the "root" of the "music" folder. Everything else is in a folder or subfolder.

I have tried clearing Subsonic cache files, browser cache files, a different computer, a different browser, a different user, none of which have worked.

Finally (just now actually) went to Settings / Media Folders, and disabled my music folder, then saved. Subsonic reported that it couldn't find any music folders. Went back and enabled the folder again and saved. This seems to have fixed the problem.

Have you tried just right clicking in that one frame and choosing "Reload Frame?"

Yep, several times. Never seems to work.

It seems that the new (beta subsonic-4.7.beta2) has solved this issue for me!

I added a new artist and after a new media scan and reloading the left panel the new artist showed up.

I hope this means that this issue is really fixed, because it was pretty annoying...

Hi joris -

That's great news! I've been hoping that's how it would play out with 4.7, so it's nice to hear from someone else who was having the same issue. I'll probably wait for the stable release, but will report back post-upgrade. Here's hoping I have similar results!

Hello all.

I've got some kind of same problem.

I'm still facing that problem of library refresh.
My library won't refresh at all, not only the left pane, but the whole thing. The only thing refreshing is a manual import via the SS uploader in the Incoming folder.
I was on 4.6 and tried 4.7b2, no luck.
The only list i got is the one that has been created the very first time i installed SS.

Music is added via iTunes. I feared iTunes "put" some ownership to the files added via the soft.Whatever, Adding the new album folder by drag and drop to the music folder doesn't do anything.
I press the famous "search" button, i delete the subsonic.lck from the db folder, I clear my browser, anything i can think of but no result.

My folders are set like x:\music\Artist Name\Album Name\Track01.mp3/flac/whatever.
The library is set to scan from x:\music\

Same problem here. Content on Synology network share, only half of the content shows on the left. I do see most of the directory's but half of them are empty. The exact same content on a local disk shows everything. I am Using 4.7B2 on a 2008R2 server. Fast access on or off does not make any difference.

If I install and use Subsonic on the Synology it does show everything like my server and local content, but i want to keep using the server version.

Add me to the list of experiencing this problem! I too have subsonic running on a different hardrive than the actual media.

This looks similar to the problems I had/having with 4.7b2 (See viewtopic.php?f=4&t=9686&start=90#p42752)
This has now been fixed and will appear on the next release.
