JW player 5.6.1768 on 4.6 slow frame rate after long pause.

JW player 5.6.1768 on 4.6 slow frame rate after long pause.

Has anyone experienced any issues where the player starts to have frame rate issues after a pause for more than say 5 minutes. when resuming it skips or has a low frame rate for a few minutes or the entire length of the video..

I am transcoding from h.264 720p or higher content to the standard subsonic resolution settings
Code: Select all
ffmpeg -i %s -ss %o -async 1 -b:v %bk -s %wx%h -ar 44100 -ac 2 -v 0 -f flv -vcodec libx264 -preset superfast -threads 0 -

also note that I am using the current version of chrome as my browser

EDIT: I am noticing also that the time stated in the player window/frame and the actual time in the movie is not correct, wondering if this is a related issue?

this appears to have been resolved in the 5.10.x update from the www.longtailvideo.com/players/ site. also looks better in full screen mode(hardware acceleration support fixed?)

I didn't see this until now, but I had this issue along with many other issues under JW-Player 5.6.1768.

I had heaps of problem because I was playing video on cheap old AMD laptops (poor hardware), which induced skipping & hangs...

5.9 and 5.10 has indeed solved most of these quirks
