In the description of App it says, "The differences between this app and the official version are:
Offline Playback"

Doesn't the official app have the same exact offline mode function?

I was trying to drum up support and get some purchases by sharing link to Play Store and three people immediately responded with that question casting credibility concerns on the rest of the claims.

Yah, that is badly worded. I meant Offline Playlists which are not currently supported. I'll change it real quick. As for the rest I have the current version up on Github if you want to verify anything.

Offline playback is very nice, thank you for that.

But offline search searches only by artist name?

Like I said in a few posts back, I'm having trouble determining what search is actually supposed to do. When I search for an artist in online mode it returns the artist, and some random albums/songs of the artist but not all of them. I can't figure out what it is actually doing. So right now offline actually searches everything, but only returns results that actually contain what your searching. If you search for something you know is in an album it will return albums, same thing for songs. Just try searching for 'the'. You should get some of each to show that it actually searches Artist/Albums/Songs.

Could you throw the apk up for a trial? I'm sure that it will work out just great, but I want to try it out first. I've had Subsonic for years and the ICS bugs are killing me, so if yours works I'll gladly throw down the $2 :)

I have these songs offline: All around the world and Chasing the sun

Searching for "around" gives me nothing but "sun" gives me "Sunrise Avenue", which is an artist.

Not sure how this search works, but "around" should give me "All around the world" and "sun" should give me "Chasing the sun" (title) AND "Sunrise Avenue" (artist)

Alright well I just got Subphonic removed from the Play store. I am trying to contact Google and figure out more information on why/what I need to change to get it unbanned.

Have we even heard anything from Sindre as to why he's not updating/fixing bugs anymore?

He usually releases new android software versions after new server versions.

I've also know that he is aware of what others have done and plans to roll in the work that's already been done by others where he can. Once 4.7 is in final release I don't expect it will take him very long to get the Android app up to speed as I know he recently acquired a Sammy Galaxy Nexus.

Just guessing, but I wouldn't be surprised if they thought it was infringing on the Subsonic app and the name and function were too similar. We know that Sindre has no problem with this, but they may have had their doubts.

I'm using the app and it works very well on my Galaxy SIII. Convert it too the ICS theme colors like the other app in the forums tha was being developed that didn't have the bluetooth controls working, and I'll be glad to send you a donation. Nice job.

I have also been using the app... I paid for it in the Play Store... it works great with my Ford Sync system which for me is a big thing. Subsonic doesn't work any longer since i am on ICS. it is mapped incorrectly for bluetooth. Your app works great.,, I agree with Gary and would like to see it completely themed for ICS ... we need a new look... thankx...

Well I still haven't heard anything back from Google, so I may just be re-submitted with a different name/icon. Obviously anyone who previously purchased Subphonic will get the new version for free. Does anyone have a good idea for a name/icon that you would associate with Subsonic but wouldn't look "too close" for Google?

Any chance you could contact the OP of this thread http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8963 about using his widget? It looks great and he has patches available to apply it.. Your app REALLY needs work on the widget! In JellyBean it seems to want to size to 2x4 by default, even though its obviously a 1x4 widget... That and a couple other small graphical fixes (like the buttons on the notification bar seemed kind of hacked into place)

I have high hopes for your project though!
