Installing on a Windows Server for automatic playing

Sorry guys, I have a N00B question.

Just installed the subsonic software, but I have a basic question.

I want this to play background music at my company. I have installed this on a Windows 2008 server, and uploaded my music to the correct folder.

It plays fine, but when I log off of windows, or reboot, the music does not start back up.

How do I configure this to run as a background service, so when the monthly 'Patch Tuesday' happens, the music starts back up automatically, without needing someone to log onto the server?

Subsonic isn't designed to do this.
There is a way to logon automatically to subsonic by making a shortcut with the commandline: http://yourserver:portnumber/login.view?user=username&password=userpassword.
(Of course you will have to change the variables to comply with your setup.)
So now you're in. But then you'd still have to find a way to automatically load a playlist and start streaming.
I don't know if this is possible using the API. Perhaps some more savvy person knows how to accomplish this.

Perhaps you'd be better off using Winamp and Shoutcast or by using RadioBoss which is a fairly expensive program but it is designed to do you what you want.

A quick hack that I can think of is to:

• Enable auto-logon on the pc in question
• Install Chrome
• Install and configure Perisonic for chrome
• Create a shortcut on the auto-logon user's start menu->Programs->Startup folder to run perisonic on startup

Never tried it, but it should work...
