Android app suddenly stopped working

Halfway through a playlist on my Droid X's Subsonic app I noticed that the happy star symbol wasn't appearing on any of the files after the 6th track. This usually meant that my memory card ran out of space, so I checked DiscUsage and was surprised to find I had 1.6 GB still free.

I cleared the playlist and re-loaded the songs. Now none of them will start to download.

Stopped and restarted the Subsonic Desktop Process. No errors reported in the log.

Stopped and restarted the mobile app through the applications menu. No help.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the app. No help.

Completely deleted all downloaded songs.

Uninstalled and reinstalled the desktop application. No help.

Tested my connection from the settings menu on the app. Instantly replies "connection is ok."

Logged into the desktop player through my browser. Songs played fine and no errors in the log.

I've had a lot of problems with my Droid X this week after a factory reset. Verizon is throttling my bandwidth so hard that the reddit app, the browser, and FB barely function. (I average 20-40GB of data per month and I'm on 3G service.) I'd upgrade to 4G which isn't throttled but there is a known issue of constant data drop on their 4G devices and you have to keep pulling the battery. Google maps stopped working after the latest update so I removed the update and restored functionality instantly.

That's everything that's happening with my Droid X. ANY input is GREATLY appreciated.

UPDATE: Completely factory reset my phone. Installed Subsonic app. Problem remains. Had no trouble configuring the app and it detects my account and all 7,800 albums appear instantly in my index. Still, selecting any song for play just sits at 0% and doesn't download.

What's the next step?

You could try installing the Subsonic app on a different device and connect to your Subsonic server to verify that your sever works, but from what you're writing about throttled bandwidth and other apps not working, it doesn't really sound like an issue with the app itself?

After factory resetting the device for the second time, gmail has started to sync again. I got google maps to stop freezing the device by removing the latest update. Still throttled as punishment for my heavy data usage.

Tomorrow after 6 I'll try installing Subsonic on my ubuntu partition and see if that fixes the problem.

I should note that the demo account on the subsonic app works flawlessly. Wondering if an update to my antivirus might be blocking Subsonic...

You could also try connecting to your server like an app would do from a different computer.

This is how you list artist indexes on the demo server:

You could check if the same /rest/getIndexes.view is exposed on your own machine.
